Safety First
Remember:
-
A firm mattress and fitted sheet are all you need for your baby's crib. Remove heavy blankets, pillows and toys. These can be a suffocation hazard.

-
Make sure you have both a working smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarm on every level of your home. Test the alarms to make sure they work frequently.

-
Place you baby's crib or furniture away from windows and blinds. Baby is safer without any strings or chords within reach

-
Set your water heater to 120 degrees to avoid any burns.

-
Infants and toddlers should ride rear facing as long as possible, until they reach the highest weight or height allowed by their seat. Most convertible seats allow baby to ride rear facing for 2 years or more.
